Upintheair Theatre  Presents Urban Ink's Production of

“Created by Urban Inks Collective of Emerging Artists”

Silenced. What happens to society when wealth is redistributed, or eliminated? Silenced. A future that releases individuals from fulfilling the standardized role is exciting, or bleak. Silenced. One moment could shake our prejudiced systems to the ground, or it could enforce the very structures that oppress. Silenced.

Silenced is an interdisciplinary work by the Urban Ink Collective that examines lives and stories silenced within our communities. It explores the choices we make as friends, neighbours, and witnesses that make us either complicit in silencing or engaged in demanding and building social equality.

Urban Ink Productions is an Indigenous and Intercultural Vancouver-based performance company that ignites and inspires revolutionary voices that transform our world. We collaborate with artists and communities to push artistic boundaries through the creation and production of innovative Indigenous and Intercultural performance works. We are dedicated to providing a platform for these artists to tell their own stories from their own unique voice.
