rEvolver Resident Curator Program
Each year, Upintheair invites emerging artists to participate in the creation of the rEvolver Festival as a Resident Curator in two year overlapping terms. Curators are mentored in Upintheair’s values and selection process, have an equal voice in programming decisions , and are supported to develop a unique outreach event or initiative.

Updrafts Commission Call for Design Proposals to Collaborate on a new work of Speculative Fiction
Upintheair Theatre is accepting live performance & design pitch proposals for the Updrafts Collaborative Commission from Canadian emerging or early mid-career designers, generative artists, or companies seeking paid work from an established company in the creation, refinement, and production of a new work of Speculative Fiction by Upintheair Theatre.
The selected artist(s) will collaborate with Upintheair on the development of the work and participate in dramaturgical and creative workshops starting in Fall/Winter 2023. A full production is planned for the fall/early winter of 2024 in Vancouver.
