May 16th 1990. What was up your ass??
The invasion of Iraq. Masturbation. Innocence, politics and war. Your first cigarette. Uproariously funny and topically challenging, Wedgie tackles the burning political issues of the 21st century and the onset of puberty. The war between Anderson Elementary and Jacob’s Junior high has gone on long so long no one remembers why they started fighting. But today is different, today Jim Henson died.
In 2002 the company began to investigate a collaborative process rooted in experience, refined through improvisation, and explored with physical creation. The initial group of seven actors spent three months on an explorative workshop process to develop the core of what would become Wedgie. In 2003 Wedgie became the first original script selected for Presentation House Theatre's 'On The House' Co-production season.
